Meet Shangri-Lodge, an Ithaca NY Vacation Rental located on the west hill. It’s a five minute drive to downtown Ithaca but a world away from city life. Country setting, city convenience. The house began as a 1950’s mid-century ranch. In the ’80’s the house doubled in size to include the great room. In addition, this home offers six bedrooms, four bathrooms, an amazing gourmet kitchen and a great open floor plan with 3600 square feet of space. Quite frankly, it is an awesome house.

The great room’s exposed wood beams, vaulted tongue and groove ceiling, and walk-in wood-burning fireplace are reminiscent of a mountain lodge. Skylights, picture and bay window, plus the house’s openness combine to provide an expansive airy feeling of space and beauty, inside and out. The lower level has an additional family room with 8′ pool table, large HDTV, electric fireplace and sofa. The room walks out to the 7 person Jacuzzi hot tub and creek beyond.
There are five bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and the laundry room all on the main floor. The upper level has the 6th room, a queen size bedroom with additional twin bed and en suite bathroom. After a restful night sleep head out to the front deck with your coffee and enjoy the views. The house sits on 5+ acres of land which includes barns and outbuildings, meadows, lawns, gardens, many trees, a hot tub, and our own creek complete with little waterfalls. The vistas beyond the property are of cornfields and woods.
Shangri-Lodge is perfect for larger group getaways, from organizations or families to hobby groups and wine trips. With the Indulgence located next door, it’s convenient to rent both properties together for even larger gatherings.
